Charity Will Month
Even with the ongoing pandemic and ensuing restrictions, staff at Dickinson Parker Hill were able to complete their annual Charity Will Month, though it looked different to previous years.
During November last year, staff at Dickinson Parker Hill Solicitors helped raise £10,990 for Ormskirk Civic Hall and Freshfields Animal Rescue. The funds have recently been presented to the respective local charities.
Since 2009, we have raised over £127,000 for a number of charitable causes and clients from across Ormskirk, Southport and the wider Lancashire and Merseyside area came to Dickinson Parker Hill to make their wills during the Charity Will Month.
Appointments were held in different ways, with a much greater use of video conferencing software than ever before. Like so many things, the Charity Will month has had to adapt to the new circumstances we all face.
Partner at Dickinson Parker Hill, Michael Prendergast said, ‘During a difficult year, we are delighted to have still been able to carry out our Charity Will Month and support two great local charities.’
Helen Stanbury from Freshfields Animal Rescue said, ‘Everyone at Freshfields is incredibly grateful for the compassion and continued support of Dickinson Parker Hill for the abused, abandoned and unwanted animals at Freshfields. They genuinely care about making a difference in their local community. They have an integrity which should be applauded. The funds raised in Wills Month will go towards our rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming work and is greatly appreciated in these difficult times. On behalf of the animals, a huge Thank You from everyone at Freshfields Animal Rescue’
During a busy November, staff at Dickinson Parker Hill, Michael Prendergast, Leanne Reeman, Carole Connell, Allison McCormick and Alexandra Kenyon saw over 200 clients between them and were ably assisted by Pauline Winrow, Dawn Joyce and Lyndsay Burns in preparing the wills.
Liz Wainwright from the Civic said, ‘At a very difficult time for us, we are incredibly grateful for the continued support of Dickinson Parker Hill and their clients. The money raised will be put to good use and will help us through until we can re-open.’
Partner, Michael Prendergast, said ‘The Charity Will Month has proved to be very popular once again. We would like to thank all our clients for their support and I would also like to thank all our staff for all their hard work and professionalism in supporting the scheme.’
