Dickinson Parker Hill Solicitors Raise Over £11,000 for Alder Hey Children’s Charity
Ormskirk solicitors, Dickinson Parker Hill, have helped raise the fantastic sum of £11,728.81 for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. The firm carried out a Charity Will Month during November last year.
Since 2009, the firm has raised over £104,000 for a number of charitable causes including Alder Hey, Ormskirk Civic Hall, the Neonatal Unit at Ormskirk Hospital, Help for Heroes, Macmillan Cancer Support and Derian House Children’s Hospice.
As in previous years, the scheme proved very popular with many new clients taking the opportunity to put wills in place and at the same time help a local institution which has benefitted many families in the local area by providing world class medical treatment and care.
Partner, Michael Prendergast said, ‘We were very happy to help Alder Hey once again as we know many clients will have received support and treatment from the staff there and numerous children throughout the area will have benefitted from treatment at Alder Hey.
Sophie Saunders from Alder Hey said, ‘We were absolutely delighted to have been chosen by DPH as their charity this year, having worked with them during previous Charity Will Month campaigns. The money raised will be used towards helping children and their families whilst at Alder Hey.’
During a busy November, staff at the firm, Michael Prendergast, Alexandra Kenyon, Allison McCormick, Joanne Owen, Leanne Reeman and Alic Wright saw over 200 clients between them and were ably assisted by Pauline Winrow, Dawn Joyce and Lyndsay Burns in preparing the wills.
Partner, Michael Prendergast, said ‘The Charity Will Month has proved to be very popular once again with this year being one of the busiest yet! We would like to thank all our clients for their support and I would also like to thank all our staff for all their hard work and professionalism in supporting the scheme.’
