Charity Will Month Raises £12,587 for Freshfields Animal Rescue

During November last year, staff at Dickinson Parker Hill Solicitors helped organise a Charity Will Month to support Freshfields Animal Rescue. The fantastic sum of £12,587 has been raised and handed over to Freshfields at a recent presentation.

Since 2009, we have raised over £116,000 for a number of charitable causes including Alder Hey, Ormskirk Civic Hall, the Neonatal Unit at Ormskirk Hospital, Help for Heroes, Macmillan Cancer Support, Derian House Children’s Hospice and now Freshfields Animal Rescue.

Clients from across Ormskirk, Southport and the wider Lancashire and Merseyside areas came to Dickinson Parker Hill to make their wills during the Charity Will Month.

Partner at Dickinson Parker Hill, Michael Prendergast said, ‘We are delighted to have been able to support Freshfields and raise such a large sum for them. We know how important animal welfare is to many people and we know the money will be put to good use’.

Helen Stanbury, Director of Freshfields Animal Rescue, said, ‘We are thrilled at the generosity of the people of Ormskirk, Southport and West Lancashire in supporting Freshfields. The money raised will make a positive difference the lives of many animals in the local area and we would like to put on record our thanks to the staff at Dickinson Parker Hill for the work they have done’.

During a busy November, staff at Dickinson Parker Hill, Michael Prendergast, Leanne Reeman, Carole Connell, Peter Caffrey and Alexandra Kenyon saw over 225 clients between them and were ably assisted by Pauline Winrow, Dawn Joyce and Lyndsay Burns in preparing the wills.

Partner, Michael Prendergast, said ‘The Charity Will Month has proved to be very popular once again with this year being the busiest yet! We would like to thank all our clients for their support and I would also like to thank all our staff for all their hard work and professionalism in supporting the scheme.’
