Charity Will Month
Dickinson Parker Hill Solicitors, based on Derby Street in Ormskirk, have once again carried out a Charity Will Month supporting local and national causes.
During November last year, the firm supported The Alzheimer’s Society and Ormskirk Civic Hall. In total over £7,100 was raised with the funds being split equally between both charities. The scheme has been running for many years and has raised over £80,000 since 2009 for local and national good causes.
Partner, Michael Prendergast, ‘the scheme allows local people to get their affairs in order at the same time as benefitting local and national charities. Many people don’t have a will in place and it is an opportunity to review your arrangements to ensure your loved ones are protected.’
The firm decided to support the charities as many clients and staff have been affected by Alzheimer’s and wanted to help with an issue that directly affects those connected with the firm. The firm also decided to support Ormskirk Civic Hall as this is now run by volunteers in the heart of Ormskirk and funds are needed to help maintain the building and provide a community space in the town centre.
Partner. Michael Prendergast, said ‘We were happy to help both charities this year as many of our clients and staff have been affected by Alzheimer’s and we wanted to help the Civic Hall. As always, we have been thrilled with the response to the Charity Will Month which has been very well supported.’
